That snooping snooper Alex Litel, decided to once again browse around the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and found some Dreamworks stuff that had recently been filed:

I noticed DreamWorks animation put in a filing for the very creative pun “Scared Shrekless,” and decided to go search for what else the company has registered; I unintentionally set off on an internet tangent where I discovered DreamWorks is a font of brilliance.

The first trademark filing on that search that caught my eye was “Shrekster,” which cites intended use with “on-line social networking services.” Yes, I sat there for second and too wondered the need for a Shrek social networking site. It seems the site the site has already been up for two months now, and turns out to be a Broadway focused tie-in to the certain doozy they call Shrek the Musical.

I also noticed a recent filing for “Monster Vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space,” which sounds like the amazing tie-in DVD or video game for that DVD release. I’m fairly confident in saying that no one else will capture the essence of extraterrestrial mutants of cucurbitaceous form this calendar year.

Then we have registrations for “DreamWorks Mega Bad Guys” and “DreamWorks Super Bad Guys,” which sound like a super subtle and poignant drama from Tom McCarthy.

And there’s a lot more where that came from, including a cool movie about Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and others teaming up against the Boogeyman.
