(Source: examiner.com) It is one of the most beautiful, wondrous, evocative titles ever written.

Under the Moons of Mars.

It was the first novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, one year before he created Tarzan, and was published in All-Story, a cheap pulp magazine, almost a century ago.  Burroughs had such little faith in his wild story — the tale of a Rebel soldier battling big green monsters on Mars — that he used a lame pseudonym, Normal Bean, in hopes that readers would consider him a normal being.

So here, almost 100 years later, does anyone still give a damn?

(Source: Variety) Disney and director Robert Zemeckis are negotiating to remake “Yellow Submarine,” the 1968 psychedelic animated film based on the music of The Beatles.

The studio has been quietly brokering a complicated rights deal that would give Zemeckis access to 16 original Beatles songs for a movie he will direct in the performance-capture 3-D digital production format he employed for “A Christmas Carol.” Disney opens that film November 6, with Jim Carrey playing Scrooge as well as the three ghosts who haunt him in the Charles Dickens tale.

The Blu-ray and two-disc DVD  TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen packages also will feature augmented reality technology that will allow owners to interact with a holographic image of OPTIMUS PRIME utilizing their webcams and a special website. Fans will be asked to piece together the Matrix of Leadership to bring OPTIMUS PRIME back to life, help repair his armor and calibrate his weapons by actually controlling his aim during target practice.

As an added bonus, the Blu-ray will include an exclusive interactive feature that gives viewers the ability to customize their own robot characters and get a glimpse at a rogue robot. Out of all the available permutations, one will unlock an exclusive interview with Michael Bay about his plans for the next adventure.
